Baahubali: The Eternal War Teaser Unveiled, Part 1 Set for Cinematic Release in 2027
The Indian animation industry is set to reach new heights, thanks to the success of Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' Mahavatar Narsimha, which broke records at the box office earlier this year. Now, the anticipation is building for the next big animated adventure, Baahubali: The Eternal War, a two-part film series based on the epic duology directed by SS Rajamouli.
The teaser for this highly anticipated animated film was recently released online, attached to the one-cut version of Baahubali: The Epic, which hit theaters earlier this year. Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Ishan Shukla, the first part of Baahubali: The Eternal War is scheduled for a 2027 release worldwide.
The story follows the tragic fate of Prince Amarendra Baahubali, voiced by Prabhas, who is betrayed and murdered, only to find himself in the afterlife. Here, he becomes the central figure in an ancient cosmic war between devas and asuras. As he journeys through the 14 realms of existence, he forms unexpected alliances, confronts divine forces beyond mortal comprehension, and strives to restore balance to the cosmos.
The film's creative team includes writer Ishan Shukla and Sowmya Sharma, producers S.S. Rajamouli, Shobu Yarlagadda, and Prasad Devineni, and the Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani, ensuring a high-quality production.
With the teaser now available online, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Part 1 in 2027, marking a significant milestone in Indian animation and a continuation of the epic Baahubali saga.
